This is important. Pepper spray should only ever be used to pacify a dangerous suspect. In this case it is being administered as a punishment, in clear violation of the 8th amendment and Article Five of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights.
Activist were peacefully protesting on their campus at University of California, Davis Quad.
Friday afternoon police showed up in riot gear to disperse the protesters by using pepper spray at point-blank range.

When students covered their mouths with their cloths, he forced their mouths open and sprayed the pepper spray down their throats. One student was still coughing blood 45 minutes later.

It’s to weird to think that this would happen at UC Davis. So many of my friends went there/is going there. It has this image of being a peaceful college town. And then seeing this is just… Disgusting.
Hey law enforcement, aren’t you supposed to be protecting the people? Why are you harming students who are exercising their right and trying to gain knowledge?
Again, this makes me lose faith in authorities and makes me gain respect for the everyday average people who aren’t afraid of challenging the authority.
I couldn’t even finish watching the video. Just too…. Sad. That’s just an abuse of authority.
